Of the opportunities available to me, I could not find positions I was passionate about. It was not until I got the acceptance email from the Nonprofit Internship Program (NPIP) that I finally stopped holding my breath.

Being able to communicate in Spanish empowers us to host bilingual storytimes, build trust with the Hispanic families we partner with, and demonstrate our commitment to being a truly inclusive organization. In that sense, Cafecito Chats are not just an hour of conversation–they’re a reflection of our values and a vital investment in the community we’re here to serve.

The afternoon will include family activities and entertainment, highlighted by an abundance of brand-new free children’s books for every child—from infants to high schoolers—to take home and keep forever (there will be 11,000 brand new books this year!)
