Ashley works across the state of North Carolina and beyond and builds partnerships with school districts, individual schools, and family-focused organizations to implement Book Harvest’s signature Books on Break program.]She serves as the liaison for the Books on Break team in Durham and assists with evaluation of the program incorporating feedback from stakeholders and working to continuously improve the program, refine the model, and add other summer programming to the portfolio.

Ashley brings more than 14 years as an educator and teacher mentor to her work at Book Harvest, with expertise in navigating effective instructional practices and productive and personalized partnerships in diverse elementary education settings including rural Louisiana, East Harlem, New York City, and Raleigh, North Carolina . Her experience managing collaborative learning experiences includes ensuring results, data collection and analysis, and program development.

Ashley received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana State University.
