Books for Every Child

Book Harvest believes that growing up with an abundance of books, from birth, is essential for children to flourish and to create healthy communities. Book Harvest helps families harvest books and discover literacy activities wherever they go, from their homes to community spaces including schools, laundromats, parks, health centers, and more. Community-wide programs ensure that families can build their own home libraries filled with engaging, culturally inclusive books and create rich home literacy environments to lay the foundation for a lifetime of literacy.

Book Hubs

Book hubs are placed in community settings that families frequent. They include outdoor Book Boxes and bookshelves. They are filled with dozens of books in English and Spanish for children of all ages to choose to take home and build their own home libraries.

Books in a Box

We work with children whose parents are experiencing the effects of incarceration by providing free new books directly to the children at home.
