It’s a brand new year and time to DREAM BIG! The new year always brings a feeling of hope, everyone has so much energy to dream and use their imaginations to think about how great of a year it can be! Book Harvest’s Dream Big Book Drive honors the legacy of Dr. King, whose invocation to serve continues to inspire and galvanize the community. This annual event invites everyone to help all children realize their big dreams by ensuring they have an abundance of books to spark their imaginations and build their brains.

Book Harvest will host its 12th annual Dream Big Book Drive and Community Celebration on the afternoon of Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Monday, Jan. 16 – from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Golden Belt Campus in Durham (a new location!)
We hope you choose to kick off the year with us in a special way, and that it will spark your imagination to dream big this year! Community members are invited to bring donations of new and gently used children’s books (for ages 0-18) to the Dream Big event on January 16; a drive-through option to drop off books will be available. Donated books will be available to families in Durham and beyond through Book Harvest’s many programs, providing books and literacy support to children starting at birth. Plus there will be entertainment & activities to enjoy for the duration of the event. Find out more here!
