Ready to Rock?

By Daniele Berman, Operations Manager

Perhaps we sound like a broken record (ha!), but we promise the rockstars at THIS SATURDAY’s Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands won’t! In case you missed the news, McKinney has selected Book Harvest as the beneficiary of this year’s event, and it promises to be an epic Battle for the Pages. But don’t worry if you’re just now learning about the battle: it’s not too late to come rock with us!

Here’s what you need to know to get in on the fun:

WHO: You, your family, your friends, your neighbors, your coworkers, and anyone who would enjoy a fun night out for a great cause

WHAT: Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands, benefitting Book Harvest WHERE: Downtown Durham’s American Tobacco Campus, 318 Blackwell Street WHEN: Saturday, September 19 (rain date Sunday, September 20) at 7 p.m HOW: Tickets are available online at www.trianglebattle.com.

But don’t forget the WHY! Why should you join McKinney and Book Harvest on Saturday night? Because the money raised from two tickets covers the cost of sending one child from a low-income family home with 10 books for the summer, to combat summer slide and to start (or grow) his or her own home library! At Book Harvest, we know that home libraries are the foundation for a lifetime of literacy, and you can help us continue to provide that foundation for children in the Triangle and enjoy a fantastic concert all at once!

Don’t miss it. Get your tickets at www.trianglebattle.com today!

(Not convinced? Check out these cameos from The Paperbacks, a rock band made up of celebrities you might just recognize from your own favorite childhood stories! Plus hear from our founder and executive director, Ginger Young, about why she thinks you should come rock with us on Saturday.)
