Benay Hicks

February 16, 2023

This week, Alisa Miller, Book Harvest’s family engagement manager, attended a Read-In at Club Boulevard Humanities Magnet School in honor of Black History Month. The event was part of several initiatives run by Durham Public Schools’ during the month of February.

The Read-In was in an effort promote books written by African American authors and illustrators and to build partnerships with the Durham community. African American members of Durham read books to students that celebrate and honor African American culture.

Thank you to Club Boulevard for including Book Harvest!
