This is it, friends: the final countdown to Dream Big 2019! We can’t wait to see you at Durham Central Park on Monday, January 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Here’s your final checklist to make sure you don’t miss a single thing at our biggest celebration of the year!
BEFORE MONDAY:
Round up your books! It’s definitely not too late to run a book drive and collect books from your neighbors, coworkers, and other community members, either! You can find everything you need to know in our online book drive toolkit. Check out how many groups are already running book drives for us — 56 and counting! Sign up and get your name on that list today.
Round up your friends! This is going to be a party you don’t want to miss — surely you don’t want your friends to miss it, either! Invite them via the Facebook event, or share this video or this printable flyer. Or just tell them to meet you at Durham Central Park at 1:00 on Monday!
Bundle up! Monday’s forecast is chilly but sunny, which is great news for all those books! (Books and precipitation don’t really get along, but cold is no problem!). So bring your mittens and hats so you can stay a while and enjoy all the fun we have planned.

Oh, and you’re going to want to arrive in time for the kickoff at 1:00 p.m. so you don’t miss the Bouncing Bulldogs!
AFTER MONDAY:
If you aren’t able to bring your books with you on Monday or you end up collecting more, don’t worry! All books donated during the month of January count toward our Dream Big total, so bring them by our office or one of our other donation locations before January 31, and they’ll make it into the final total!
