Book Harvest’s 5th Annual Summer Block Party
July 19, 2025 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park
What: Book Harvest’s 5th annual Summer Block Party is a free community-wide event celebrating summer and books. The afternoon will include family activities and entertainment, highlighted by an abundance of free children’s books for every child—from infants to high schoolers—to take home and keep forever (there will be 11,000 brand new books this year!)
Who: Representatives from Book Harvest; community members; over 30 local organizations and characters, including The Poetry Fox, Wool E. Bull, Happy Dan the Magic Man, PBS Kids, Museum of Life and Science, The Bull City Woodshop, and Bike Durham.
When: Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Where: Durham Bulls Athletic Park, 409 Blackwell St, Durham, NC 27701

Scheduled Events:
1:00 PM - Gates open; food, activities, and books are available for all!
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM – Wool E. Bull visits the Block Party
4:00 PM - Event ends
Why: Book Harvest believes that growing up with an abundance of books, from birth, is essential for children to flourish and to create healthy communities.
