Provides resources and tools for parents with children from birth through age 5. They offer resource guides by county, information on kindergarten registration and updates about state and regional early learning initiatives.

Memorial Hospital of South Bend

Brain Train

A free program through Family & Children's Center offering St. Joseph County parents of children under five individual and group play sessions to support developmental milestones and strengthen parent-child relationships.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Administered locally by the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County, this program mails a free, age-appropriate new book each month to any child in St. Joseph County from birth until age five to promote early childhood literacy.

St. Joe Library Storytimes

The St. Joseph County Public Library offers a suite of free early literacy programs — including Babytime, Storytime, Playtime, and Sensory Time — for children ages 0–5, combining books, songs, movement, and play to build school readiness skills.

Families First Center

Families First Center offers evidence-based parenting classes — including Nurturing Parenting, Active Parenting, and Triple P — that equip caregivers with practical skills in child development, positive discipline, and emotional connection, open to all parents whether joining voluntarily or through a court or agency referral.
