Taylor Horne

Literacy Coach
As a Literacy Coach for Book Babies, Taylor Horne conducts high-quality home visits to families with children from birth through age five. In this role, she partners with parents and caregivers to ensure literacy-rich environments and provide the foundational support necessary for lifelong learning.

Taylor studied Linguistics and Peace, War, and Defense at UNC-Chapel Hill, with a minor in Spanish translation and interpretation. She brings a global perspective to the team, having served in various language teaching roles in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. Her professional background also includes work for a disability inclusion specialist based in the UK, an experience that sparked a deep interest in accessibility and equitable education. Taylor is dedicated to supporting children and their families, driven by the belief that "Literacy For All" is a vital component of achieving social justice.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with friends and her dog, Sadie. Her favorite children's book is Belle Prater's Boy by Ruth White.
