Megan LeFaivre
Associate Director of Partnerships, School-Age Initiatives
Megan LeFaivre serves as Associate Director of Partnerships, School-Age Initiatives at Book Harvest, where she leads partnership development and program expansion efforts for Books on Break and Books for K. In this role, Megan works closely with schools, community organizations, and national partners to expand access to books and literacy-rich experiences for children and families.
Megan brings more than a decade of experience in education and literacy systems work to Book Harvest. Before joining the organization, she served as Literacy Coordinator for Ready for School, Ready for Life, where she supported county-wide early literacy strategies, built meaningful cross-sector partnerships, and led community training efforts centered on equity for young children and their families. Earlier in her career, Megan worked as a reading specialist in Davidson County Schools and Thomasville City Schools, as well as a first and second-grade teacher and preschool educator in school districts across North Carolina.
Megan holds a Master of Education in Reading Teacher Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wake Forest University. She is passionate about building strong partnerships, advancing literacy from early childhood through the school-age years, and ensuring all children have access to books and learning opportunities that support lifelong success.
