Kalyn Milot
Inventory and Procurement Coordinator
Raised in the North Carolina Triangle, Kalyn graduated from UNC Greensboro with a degree in Anthropology focusing on medieval history, archaeology, and folklore. Their passion for community support and culturally relevant systems led Kalyn to AmeriCorps, where they encountered Book Harvest and joined as a Book Processing and Provision assistant for the 2024-2025 service year.
Kalyn has worked in the government and nonprofit sector since 2019. Their previous positions have spanned subjects of food insecurity, animal welfare, and community engagement. They are an active member of the Society for Applied Anthropology, an organization whose members use their expertise on human relationships to develop practical solutions to real-world challenges.
When not reading, Kalyn can be found in their garden harvesting ingredients for a new recipe, playing tabletop games with friends, and trying out new crafts! Their favorite children's book is The Keeping Quilt by Patricia Polacco.
