Julissa Sabat Harbaugh

Julissa Sabat Harbaugh brings a deep commitment to accessible education and compassionate community service to her role as a Literacy Coach for Book Babies. Originally from Honduras, Julissa holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Music from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Before joining Book Harvest, Julissa served as an interpreter and translator at Positive Pathways Counseling, where she facilitated crucial communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure equitable access to care. Her extensive background in education includes teaching at Westlake Music Lessons and Fusion Academy, where she developed engaging, bilingual curricula for piano, music theory, and Spanish language instruction.

A passionate advocate for music education, Julissa continues to volunteer with Honduras Oboe Project Education (HOPE), mentoring talented students and securing vital program support through community outreach. She is dedicated to leveraging her unique blend of linguistic skills and pedagogical experience to foster equity, literacy, and strong community partnerships in her role as Literacy Coach.
