Diana is originally from Caracas, Venezuela, where she graduated with a law degree in law degree. She has a diverse professional background, having managed supply chains, provided customer service, and performed staff trainings.

Most of all, she loves the community of Durham and its families. As Parent Ambassador, she nurtures community partnerships and a strong network of families in Durham interested in the power of literacy. As a mother to young children, Diana understands first-hand the gift of reading and its impact on a child's development.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and going to the beach and the mountains. Her favorite children's book is Pete The Cat Saves Christmas, which she really enjoys reading with her daughters because of the important message the story gives us: Christmas is about giving, and that one should give everything no matter how small you are. She believes that every moment in life presents an opportunity to be giving.
