Start date: August 2024
Diana Abreu Zambrano is originally from Caracas, Venezuela, where she graduated with a law degree in law degree. She has a diverse professional background, having managed supply chains, provided customer service, and performed staff trainings in a variety of industries.
As Senior Community and Family Engagement Coordinator, Diana nurtures community partnerships and a strong network of families in Durham interested in the power of literacy. Most of all, Diana loves the community of Durham and its families. As a mother to young children, Diana understands first-hand the gift of reading and its impact on a child's development.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and going to the beach and the mountains. Her favorite children's book is Pete The Cat Saves Christmas, which she really enjoys reading with her daughters because of the important message the story gives us: Christmas is about giving, and that one can graciously give anything, no matter how small!
