Welcome Gabby Bunnell to the Book Harvest Team!

ree

Book Harvest is delighted to welcome Gabby Bunnell as our new External Relations Coordinator.

Gabby brings a wide-ranging background in communications, education, and project management, paired with a deep passion for literacy and community engagement. A graduate of Duke University with degrees in Environmental Sciences & Policy and Psychology, Gabby has built her career around the power of storytelling to inspire behavior change and social good.

Her professional journey includes serving as a Lab Manager and Research Associate at Duke, where she led large-scale projects, managed hundreds of volunteers, and engaged high-profile donors. Most recently, Gabby worked as Bookseller and Social Media Manager at Dog-Eared Books, where she created dynamic content strategies that grew the bookstore’s online presence by over 1,000 followers and helped drive record-breaking sales.

She has also taught English in France through the TAPIF program, an experience that reinforced for her how essential literature is in both education and language development.

In her new role, Gabby will support Book Harvest’s marketing and communications—crafting engaging digital content, managing social media, and helping tell the stories of our mission—as well as advancement and donor engagement, ensuring every supporter experiences the care, consistency, and gratitude that define our organization.

When asked about her favorite children’s book, Gabby didn’t hesitate: The Little Prince. Like the timeless story, her own career reflects curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to building connections across communities.

We are thrilled to have Gabby on our team and can’t wait for our supporters and partners to get to know her. Please join us in giving her a warm Book Harvest welcome!
