Ruby Bridges Literary Day
Join We Are and Book Harvest for our inaugural Ruby Bridges Literary Day, a community gathering to honor the legacy of Ruby Bridges and the ongoing importance of creating literacy rich, culturally affirming learning spaces for children.
We're thrilled to welcome Kwame Mbalia, creator of the Tristan Strong trilogy and the Jax Freeman series, for a special author reading and book signing. Come celebrate the power of stories to reflect, inspire, and expand what children believe is possible for themselves.
The first 30 families to arrive will harvest a copy of one of Kwame Mbalia's works to take home.
