Valerie is our Literacy Coach with Book Babies, supporting all aspects of the Book Babies program. Particularly focusing on Books and Literacy Coaching home visits to children and families from birth.

Valerie has a decade of experience teaching English, Spanish, and French in Puerto Rico, as well as working with youth as a student pastor. Valerie loves sharing the joy of literacy with children. Valerie studied Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention and Human Sciences in Montreal, Canada.

Outside of her time from work, Valerie is a mom to a busy toddler and she is also a talented photographer and content creator. Her current favorite Children's book is Coqui in the city.
