Valerie is a Literacy Coach for our Book Babies program, conducting quality home visits to children and families from birth.

Valerie loves sharing the joy of literacy with children. She has a decade of experience teaching English, Spanish, and French in Puerto Rico, as well as working with youth as a student pastor. Valerie studied Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention and Human Sciences in Montreal, Canada.

Outside of her time from work, Valerie is a mom to a busy toddler and she is also a talented photographer and content creator. Her current favorite children's book is Coqui in the City by Nomar Perez.
