As Parent Ambassador, Be nurtures community partnerships and a strong network of families in Durham interested in the power of literacy. Be describes herself as someone who loves children, family, and community -- and since her role at Book Harvest exposes to her all three, it's her dream job!

Before working at Book Harvest, Be worked with Wake County Schools, most recently as an instructional assistant in special education, where she provided social and emotional guidance to K-5 students. She's also worked as a reading interventionist, afterschool teacher, and administrative assistant. She believes that she's received many lessons from her 8 years working with children that she looks forward to applying to her role with Book Harvest.
