Sarah Wood
Chair
Sarah Wood is a lawyer by training who has devoted her professional expertise to the support and benefit of vulnerable children and families. She has served as a volunteer court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected children for over ten years and has also worked as a GAL attorney advocate.
Ms. Wood is a current board member and past chair of Durham LEAP (Latino Educational Achievement Partnership) and serves on the board of the Choral Society of Durham.
Ms. Wood holds a a JD from Duke University, a Doctorate in Latin American literature from Yale University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Romance Languages and Literatures from Harvard University.
